Ronniw doesnt ALWAYS look interested in winning. Sometimes he just wants to go home. Granted since 2006 (uk walkout) he hasnt shown many glimpses of this but today he wanted to win.

Still he should be coming to the event willing to win. But after a few frames changes his mind?

I REALLY dont know what goes on in Ronnie's mind - God knows he doesnt - but when that "thing" in his head clicks his opponent is going home.

am i the only one picturing some weird mechanism in ronnies head with lots of rotating wheels that make clicking noises, which roberson heard and thought "oh no im going home"

and it was only ferret clicking his camera.

What a great match. After the first three frames I thought that Robbo is going to whitewash Ronnie But after that frame it was one man game. I think that Robbo made a mistake when he was celebrating after winning the third frame. OK,it was important frame to win but I have seen many times in many sports that after some team or a player celebrate like that in the middle of the match he often lose the match at the end... Ronnie was so fluid once he got a chance... Amazing. I think that the only chance for Robbo to win the match was to finish the match with 6 clearances

finally we got to the bowels of why this what happened, happened
robbo spent too much time in front of the mirrow straightening his hair!
which sadly left no time to practice to switch off that clicking mechanism discovered by roy

IMHO, Ronnie seems to need few frames trailing behind his opponent before he starting to make some real ACTION. The same situation happened when he trailed 2-8 to John Higgins in the last UK Champ (but it was already too late for him).

I might say, Ronnie's "ENGINE" need some warm-up before he can switch his playing to B and a half or A game? I don't know. Just guessing.

He didn't destroy anyone. He vanquished his own fear of being left behind.

I think Ronnie relished playing against Robbo in that form... But deep down I think he knows (/thinks) that no one can really come close. You get the feeling sometimes it comes more down to entertainment for him, you see a great comeback (not suggesting he deliberately lost as Robbo was on sparkling form, but you get the feeling if he goes behind against a player doing well he notches up a gear), you see Ronnie playing great snooker, and everyones happy (except Ronnie of course he played "alright" )
