Well, at least he hasn't dropped in with some obsecenities in the post-match interviews lately But in earnest, after such a brilliant performance and a great match in every respect I find it disorientating when the winner looks so unhappy. I don't want him to do a promotion muppet like stuff, but at least a, please.

His inteviews lately are indeed a little bizar I must admit.
It' s fantastic to see him play but you tend to get depressive to watch his interviews...

Figure they make sure they switch mic sound off whenever he's not supposed to be answering, just to be on the safe side
...maybe he was cheering for Williams himself - had a sad fan face there in the interview
...or sad he won against someone playing so well with being sure he didn't play that well... like kind of how sad for the sport it is. ?(ok that's too bizzare/phylosphical).
BBC had him over after Neil's match, apart from the thong part he was quite the same bizzare wasn't he, then I don't know was there an interview after Ebdon's match, but they pretty much knew what they were risking by having him over after this one.
Co-winner of Spike’s 2009 UK Championship number of centuries prediction contest.
To tell you the truth I find it incredibly embarrassing and sad [as a snooker fan for longer than most people here have been alive ],
that some people, just out of some twisted sense of selfish entitlement, criticize the only "golden goose" in our sport for not being shiny and polished enough after he delivers to us one of the most astonishing series of matches in recent memory.

very well said
I suppose the rest of you also thought it was ok when he gave up on the Hendry game halfway through.
Barry Hearn has a massive task on his hands and he needs his star attractions to get more improved in the promotion of the sport, and maybe be a little happier when they win
