  • Cameras at the Crucible

Following on from the great pics in a earlier thread I was wonder about taking pics at Sheffield this year.

Being a keen photographer I would like to take some pics when I go this year but would have thought that it was not allowed.

So, whats the protocol for taking pics at an event?

Simply you can only take pictures when the players are walking in and out of the arena, you are not allowed to take pictures during game play unless you are a official photographer at the event.

Camera shutter noises put people off and some people simply don't turn off the flash so its easier to not let anyone than control who can.

Maybe if/when Barry makes Snooker like Darts when you have screaming crowds etc, you will be, untill then you can't though.

I remember there was some idiot sat next to me with a big dslr camera in the Dott/Selby match last year. Took them a couple of frames to tell him to stop it. Only on row B as well.
