and of course you are certain that this was targeted at Mark Selby and not at himself for missing the yellow? Because the number of time he's been calling himself all sort of names... in words or gestures ... is countless.
He's been even warned and fined for it. It must be said it was rather explicit!

if he said it at that time when he had that exchange with selby it was said about selby not about himself he was angry with selby.

well ronnie did start going to peices at 9-6 up, the breaks and safety were very poor, but it still took a selby playing his A game to beat ronnies B

Funny this topic appeared on the board because when watching the scene live the other day on telly, I had the same reaction as the starter of this thread and I wondered 'did he really drop an F bomb here??'
I can't say for sure it was 'f***** c****'....but there was at least the F part. Now, tough to say if it was directed at Mark or to himself but knowing a bit Ronnie, I highly doubt he said that to himself.

its no worse than comes out of the mouths of footballers throughout a 90 minute game. nor is it worse than what a trainer normally says to a boxer between rounds. Cant help but feel we've another Ronnie witchunt going on.

even if he said it to Mark, i bet Mark could not care less, i doubt Barry Hearn is bothered, Ronnies Mum was there and she didnt give him a clip round the ear, its not even important, really. if it was the media, who have better technology available than sky plus, would have already made a song and dance about it.

Snooker players don't go around head-butting each other or whatever else. Snooker is a gentleman's game, how can you compare to football and boxing?

I don't think there's any doubt it was aimed at Selby, but at the same time it was low enough for virtually nobody to hear, Mark included, so not really an issue for me. His "How can you moan?" was a bit uncalled for as well, as Selby had every right to expect a frame winning chance on the yellow. All added to the excitement of the game though. Leaving before the trophy presentation was just ignorant, but that's Ronnie for you - one minute he's a gentleman, the next he's a complete tool. I doubt Mark even noticed.

I'm sure Ronnie doesn't like Selby personaly, and i got that impression after the Welsh Open 2008 final, when he called him untalented player. So, the comment was adressed to Selby for sure. But for me, it's ok to have prejudice towards some people and hate them for no reason. That's life.
