Is also getting shown on TG4 in Ireland... Theres a live stream on the official site which I *think* is on 24/7.
So it could be good if ever Eurosport are going to show it later than TG4 sometime

If it is going to be broadcast online, that's also excellent news for anyone who can't get Eurosport (wouldn't you agree Ranen?). Good find sir.

As an aside, it seems bizarre to me that so much of that site uses gaelic. I was under the impression that it's very much a minority language in Ireland.

Yeah that's excellent because I only have Eurosport in the frontroom and my mum wont want me watching snooker all the time, so yeah I can watch it online. Great!

            Good looking SteUK2006

Its not on any of the British Eurosports until 4:45PM on Sunday I dont think,
but TG4 show it from 2:30PM so we'll be able to see it on there
Thats if the online streaming is 24/7

                NOOOOOO! I only have Linux!

But thank god, with WMware it's a piece of cake to install a second, temporary operating system.

(Now when I read it, I see it sounds like an advertisment )

It's been quite a while since I used linux, but isn't there a windows media codec for linux's mplayer?

It's not so bizarre when you consider that TG4 is the dedicated Gaelic-language channel for Ireland. TG = Tele Gael

Maybe the BBC will show it regionally like they did for the Welsh Open?

I enter http://www.tg4.tv/ and click on "Beo ar an Aer (Live)" but all I get is a schedule. No live video stream. Even though I am trying when there's a programme scheduled, like the news for example. Why?

It looks like its not 24/7 unfortunately. We'll just have to see if its live on the day. I go on there sometimes and its live, so maybe they only show certain programmes?

If not they do have a Sports section with highlights from there sports, with programmes from 30-60minuites, so they might have it on there which would still be good for people without Eurosport.

I checked a few times and I got a live feed for all of the programmes scheduled, and a just the schedule otherwise. I'm not sure why you're never getting the live stream hegeland, are you accounting for the time zone difference?

It does say on the site that they can't broadcast all of their shows for legal reasons, but everything on the webtv schedule will be shown, which fortunately appears to include the snooker (starting on the 13th).

Next time it comes on, I'll post a direct link to the WM video stream and see if you can receive it that way.

Edit: The stream I was watching has just ended, but the address was:
                            http://www.tg4.tv/channels/LiveChannel1wPlayer.aspx?mm=l&ns=241&t=38bd27f8-cea0-495b-ad76-0797d2594cc6
That's to paste directly into windows media player, but I'm not sure whether it'll work for the next stream or even for anyone else with all of those scary-looking letters and numbers on the end. I'll update it at 2:30 (the next broadcast) if it changes.
