One of his frames in Aberdeen was a very spectacular one, in the match against Doherty... he broke off almost pool style, forcing the cue ball into pack of reds off the top cushion, fluked 2 reds and made a frame winning break (something 60+ as the black and pink were tied up) in a couple of minutes. But that wasn't an under pressure frame as Ken was up by 2 or 3 frames already.

    • If I had Doherty' s luck of last night I would certainly win the 'euromollions' lottery this week. And for Mark Williams I hope/want him to play well - his ranking is far below what he really can.
I saw that going differently in my mind

I would imagine he knows that mate, and There is enough time to turn things around. It would have been worse had he not got to the semi finals of Shanghai. Now that he can get some decent practice in I am sure we will see an improvement, those of us that want to see that anyways.

          • Look, I wasn't attacking Dott in any way I'm just pointing out that his form hasn't been great lately. And yes, I do hope that it turns around. Enough about that now.

                      • Mark has been the best potter so far in the tournament IMO, some cracking shots last night. Dott didn't put up much of a fight last night, and had a bit of bad luck in crucial moments.

I was mostly watching Ken last night but there was a lot of action going on on the Allen/Dott table, I could tell because of the audience reaction to Mark's shots. I seen a couple of them and he seemed in fine positive form - probably spurred on by his home crowd.
Hope he does well but ultimately I'd like Ken to win (now that Swail is out)

                          • I find it amazing how accurate Mark is despite his movement after he's down on the shot. I'm sure as he strikes he's perfectly still but watching him rock from side to side is quite unnerving.
