Tennis and snooker are hardly comparable in terms of their player fields, of course. Snooker has a far, far wider field of possible tournament winners and the difference in quality between the top players (top 16/32) of snooker is simply a lot smaller than the top of tennis.
na, sure you can't compare. but still we get spoiled by having a fav in another sport that usually wins when you get the chance to watch him
anyway, I'll not stop watching snooker just because my favs dropped out. it's still an amazing sport, it's just even better when people I favour are still playing ^^

Ouch. No, that's not going to be great. Judging by how the Hendry-Gould match "looked" on live score... no. I don't want to finish that sentence
I hope I'm wrong, though, and that Stephen will be super-focused and bring his best long potting and breakbuilding tomorrow!
Edit: Just read the post-match interviews on WSA:
A despondent Higgins, who has yet to reach a ranking quarter-final this season, said: "I was garbage, I missed so many easy balls it was untrue. I'm not really practising that much, I've got other things to do.
"I'm not putting in the work you need to win tournaments, that's been the story of my life. I'll deal with it - I've had bad beats before and I'll have them again. Good luck to Fergal, he made four great breaks during the match."
Right. Garbage and UNTRVE. Tschöö, Higgins. Good thing I'm not a fan. Eh. Wait. Fck
Sounds like he doesn't really enjoy or care about it anymore or something.
Oh well. If you say you're determined to stay on top and then say you don't practice much, then maybe you're not really that determined to stay on top.
i suppose with his wife expecting another baby, and having not performed great since the worlds has made him not feel too bothered about playing too often at the club etc, but as he says, hes went through it before....
At the preview of the season (Alex0paul) i claimed Higgins would take his foot of the gas pedal. Winning his second world title was what he really wanted and succeeded. Therefore it does not surprise me he had his priorities elsewhere.

Yeah that's right I guess. I already thought "have other things to do" referred, for the most part at least, to the pregnancy of his wife. Something like that is far more important than snooker of course, so it's understandable.
Well, we'll see eventually. It's still not as bad as Williams, whose career will die if he keeps this up.

grah, being able to watch the selby match only in live ticker is not excactly doing any good to my health...
ford has been pretty good, it's nice to see him play so well GO LEICESTER BOYS ... ^^
higgins really wasn't too great this afternoon, I hope he comes back stronger once he's able to focus on training more. absolutely understandable though, that he's got other things on his mind right now. family should always come first.
