well hes one step nearer now having just beaten mark joyce 5-0. Stephen lee stands between him and a match against hendry on tv. I'd make Trump vs Lee virtually 50-50 tbh.

Wenbo also through quickly with a 5-0 to face steve davis next. I'd make that a 50-50 too.

Awesome Wenbo! I really really expect we can see some flashes of brilliance that he shown during the World Champs in this NI Trophy.

Slow match alert ! McManus through to play Harold.

Holt and Walden also through to the last 48.

Lee Spick apparently conceded the match when 4-0 down yesterday against Joe Delaney. Not so Li Hang who came back from 4-0 down to beat David Morris before losing to Andrew Higginson today.
Whatever happens with Jimmy's match today it is a reasonable start for him as regards consolidating his tour place at least, he doesnt come into the Shanghai event until the second round so not sure if he will automatically get the first round points.

It seems John Parrott has withdrawn from Shanghai so Jimmy is bumped up straight into the second round qualifiers and David Gray into the third round qualifiers. Simon Bedford gets a bye in round one also.

any idea why JP has withdrawn ?

Surely hes not doing a Ronnie and taken a dislike to playing overseas.

Back to the NI and Jimmy has pulled one back to 1-2 against Ford.

Just noticed that all the higher ranked players seeded through to the last 48 won their matches this morning, forming a solid wall that no qualifier could get over. Wonder if Jimmy or any other lower ranked players will upset that order this afternoon ?

No chance he would have got there anyway!

Sorry dont know why John has withdrawn yet though suppose news will filter out, went right through all the names to find out who wasn't there when I saw the bye on the draw list. Of course with his media work he probably is not so desperate for the money nowadays though would imagine he would like to stay playing for a few years yet.

Jimmy pulls back to 2-2 from 2-0 down, needing practically all the colours in those last two frames and won them both on the final black it appears. He's becoming the comeback king this week.
