Poor Dave, would have been a great consolation if he'd have got the max.

Think one of the reasons he may look as if he's not too bothered is that he's so far in front it's a little difficult to stay focused all the time. If he carries on like he did the end of last season and start like he has at the begining of this he is likely to have the most tournament wins. Still it's very early days so no point getting carried away"Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."

I think no one played particularly well in this tournament and there weren't many good matches, which is understandable as we're still in August. Anyway, only O'Sullivan showed the killer instinct to take this one.
Another anti-climax final nontheless.
OH and on the bright side my prevision for the final was right 9-3.

He's a great player but has a personality a lot of people don't take to
Strange remark, I would call his snooker attitude 'justified arrogance' - I m not talking about his 'China affair' of courseI saw that going differently in my mind

O Sullivan makes his intentions for this season quite clear with his overall performance in the NIT so early in the season. Can only see him get stronger as the season continues!"Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."

Not surprising, they way things went, but still well done Ronnie.
I would advise against getting carried away and proclaiming him the winner of every tournament to come this season though. Even winning more than one a season is a mighty difficult task, and winning as many as three is very rare. We're early on in the season and many players looked mighty rusty. Higgins didnt really play his potential at any point and still was on the brink of reaching the final. Ding was a mess, Maguire struggled in every game etc. Come Shanghai and the Grand Prix we are likely to see a lot of players in much better shape. Certainly Ronnie will be sky high favorite for every single crown, but this was august and it wont be as easy early on.
Plus, it wasnt easy this time around either. 5-4, 5-3, 5-4, 6-5 in the matches up till the final, thats very close calls.
