Draw Summary
Well I thought the draw would be seeded like Wimbledon with the Top 2 seeds meeting each other in the final and Ronnie the top seed meeting the 3rd-4th seeds in the Semis, but its not to be.
If the order of play is by a table for each eighth of the draw, which is what I expect it to be, well Ronnie is without doubt on the table of death with Dominic Dale, Mark Selby and Ryan Day, Matthew Stevens and Joe Swail in attendance. A lot of very good players will be on the 1st train home from Sheffield.
Jimmy White has been given a fairly decent draw after his excellent run at the Pink Pro-Am this weekend. He is seeded to face Jamie Cope in the Last 32 and probably one of Peter Lines or Gerard Greene awaiting the winner of that.
Without doubt Peter Ebdon is in the easiest section of the draw; a mix of journeymen in Barry Pinches, Marcus Campbell and Alan McManus and young pretenders in Jack Lisowski and Liu Chuang (who coincidentally meet each other in Round 1).
Marco Fu has drawn a tough game against Luca Brecel. I feel there could be a real upset there. Shaun Murphy is in the same section with Andrew Higginson possibly awaiting in Round 2, with Graeme Dott, Stephen Lee, Rory McLeod Andy Hicks and Ian McCulloch lurking later in the tournament.
Big names that have drawn qualifiers include Mark King, Stephen Maguire, Stuart Bingham, Pink Pro-Am winner Michael Holt and Barry Hawkins.

Fu v Brecel definitely pick of round 1.
of new boys Anthony McGill may make decent progress......
Selby or Ryan Day will take no more than 360 points from this event because the squedual to meet in the last 64 despite being 5th and 6th seed respectivelyLast edited by wildJONESEYE; 21 June 2010, 05:15 PM.

The format slightly different to what we were expecting.
The bottom half of the draw (which includes the amateur qualifiers) will play their first three matches on one day with the top half playing on the following day. The fourth round onwards will be played on the Sunday.
I suppose this is a better way of doing it, rather than just having one match on one day and having 3 or 4 on the next two.

Can anybody help me to print off the draw from WS? In words of one syllable for a technophobe! Used the print button on the draw but it is tiny - even with a magnifying glass cannot read it. Ant help would be appreciated. Printed it off from the forum but some of the matches were different and cannot follow the matches with the format used. Come back Janie!!
