    Thanks Janie.
Any idea how the outcomes will be broadcast?

    Cheers.

Personally I think it's a very poor state of affairs that all matches aren't being refereed.

just think of the costings to do that - it would all have to come out of the prize funds.

If I was playing I'd be quite happy to do my own fielding for a couple of rounds and then pick up a bigger prize cheque.

it's not set up yet but they are hoping to sort out live streaming on future events - not sure how far in the future!

So the correct variant is this http://www.worldsnooker.com/PTC1_new...16.htm?tid=166

            as HunRon said.

some matches will go over that without a doubt. At PIOS last season when we had snail v tortoise matches went sailing over 3.5 hours and then they came back with a 4-1 or 4-2!!

yes but snooker has to be fan friendly no live scoring because they haven't got someone to score is pretty poor state.

all you need is someone pushing buttons. that needs addressing by tomorrow or there will be hell to pay.

I was expecting there to be referees to be honest.... Interesting how the miss rule will work between the players?!?!?!?!

Surely they could call upon referees from various counties who although may not have all the qualifications of the top refs, but would be happy to do it for the experience (and maybe a small contribution to expences!)

Any ref surely must be better than NO ref?

I'm not so sure. Judging by comments I've heard at other events though, the top amateurs don't suffer less than top quality refs gladly.!

I did hear that there were going to be pro refs for this event, and that they were expected to ref four best of 7 matches a day... potentially 28 frames. That's way too much for one day, and all for not a lot of remuneration.

Maybe they've struggled to get the number required or the refs have revolted!

Janie, are the breaks going to be recorded next to the live scores? Would be great.

Why not ask for volunteers? I'm sure you would a lot of interest on here if they asked someone to operate the live scoring for free. Maybe give out free tickets for later rounds or other competitions.

as soon as I have the info in front of me, which I haven't at moment, I'll add it to the results.
