I wouldn't have thought it was too difficult to put right by adding an extra days play.

    I hope i'm wrong.
i think there will be changes they have said the full draw will be available from thursday this week unlike before where the qualifiers was drawn on wednsday and the main on the following monday.

this time there are 36 qualifying matches whitch is 4 and a half sessions hopefully they will play thoes week tomorrow then play the last 128 through to last 16 on thursday, friday and saturday before the last 16 to finals on sunday.

its a acadamy of world snooker suerly that can be flexable.

I have not heard yet if World snooker have taken any of the advice and criticism they received, regarding the first pct. Lets hope they release details of some changes soon.

The draw and playing schedule was just posted, and the complaints seem to have been listened to.

I think they should look at holding this over 4 days next time. I expect they could not extend the ones which people have already entered because the players have probably already booked time off of work, booked accommodation and arranged for traveling.

"* match 142 will be scheduled at the discretion of the Tournament Director "

What's so special about that match?

There is still going to be a massive problem of play going on until about 1-2am. Unless you play best of 5 in the first round, you are not going to get 7 sessions in a day.

starting 9am will make a massive difference and they was right to try this first before reducing anything.

I want to ask something- Will any of PTC Events be streamed/televised? And is there a camera in the venue?

The grand final is set to be televised, but there isn't any broadcast for minor events, unfortunately..

I don't know about that. The draw has been put online now though, and it has thrown up some very interesting ties.

Match 142 is a last 32 match that might include Jimmy White...... Players that are in Match 142 would have played their last 64 match on friday morning after playing their last 128 matches on Thursday.

                                Draw Summary

Mark Williams has a difficult start to his second Players Tour Championship event of this season. He plays journeyman Michael Holt. He has probably one of the most difficult sections of the draw; full of young talent in Michael White, Reanne Evans and Mark Selby and the vast experience of Anthony Hamilton, Ian McCulloch and Mark Davis. The match of the round undoubtedly is Peter Ebdon v Shaun Murphy.

One of the easier sections contains Ken Doherty who starts off against PTC1 Quarter-Finalist Joe Jogia. Joe Perry also plays Justin Astley and Judd Trump plays David Gilbert.

A potential last 32 clash between Ali Carter and Ryan Day is on the cards in section 3. Nigel Bond and Stephen Lee could also meet in the last 64. There is a real chance for a young player to get through the rounds also in this section.

In the fourth section, there is a suprising return of former world championship semi-finalist Tony Knowles in the amateur qualifier, with a potential clash with Marco Fu. The draw has been pretty kind in this section, with Dominic Dale and Alan McManus possibly making significant progress.

Jimmy White is in the next section, he plays a qualifier in round one. The draw has been pretty kind for Jimmy; he will possibly play Kurt Maflin in the last 64, Tom Ford in the last 32 and Graeme Dott in the last 16. If he shows the form he showed in the Pink Ribbon event, he could make good progress in this tournament.

Luca Brecel gets an easier match in round one, he plays the winner of Jamie Clarke and Ahmed Saif with a possible meeting with Martin Gould in the last 64.

One of the most difficult sections contains Mark King, Matthew Stevens and Ricky Walden. Amateur Allan Taylor, who managed to get to the last 32 in PTC1 plays a qualifier, so he has the chance again to make long progress.

In the last section, Stephen Maguire could possibly meet the son of Steve Davis, Greg in the first round if he comes through a qualifier. This section should be relatively straight forward for Stephen; he could meet Murphy conqueror Mitchell Mann in the last 64, amateur Jordan Brown in the last 32 and Dave Harold in the last 16.

                                Prediction to win: STEPHEN MAGUIRE
