        Good idea!
Please, Visionaire, let us know when/if you get an answer.

But maybe they should have come up with some sort of statement by now anyway....

          Will do.

They seem to be ignoring the whole thing, not even a "Thanks for everything Janie". Makes me think there may have been a disagreement of some sort.

I know Janie has done sterling work over the years, and the up to date results has been the USP on the Gloabl Snooker site.

However, I think when the old Global Snooker Centre sold out to be come global-snooker.com about 18 months ago, the site started going down hill, with a lot of missing or outdated information (much like most other snooker sites, sadly - like IBSF for example).

Coverage of other than mainstream international events and PIOS seemed to be largely ignored, and even when asked to put something on the site about the UK Disability Sports Events National Snooker Championships for the Disabled, nothing appeared. Janie was, at one point, 'about to start writing a piece', and photos were asked for and immediately supplied, but the effort was wasted.

The trouble is, proper coverage of worldwide snooker events is a very costly and time-consuming job (almost certainly too much for one person). Most fans want all this information for nothing, and I doubt they would be prepared to pay (enough) for it to become a viable business proposition.

At least I'm confident that we'll have complete, accurate and timely news about On-Q Promotions events whilst Janie's there.

You're right, but they're gonna have to do something to make their site worth visiting.

Did we see the World Snooker home page?
Again there is the live scoring ...
                Let us hope.

well obviously there was a disagreement the lack of nothing happening there shows she was doing all the work and nobody else was doing absolutely nothing.

For all those wondering, here is the latest news from Global Snooker:

Global–snooker.com has teamed up with On Q Promotions to continue to provide up to the minute content of relevant snooker tournaments, including the new PTC events from Sheffield and the EPTC events in due course.

Paul Mount, Managing Director of On Q Promotions said, “I am delighted to be working with Global-snooker.com. It is an extremely valuable resource for the game, treasured by many snooker enthusiasts, and I’m pleased that we have found a way forward that suits everyone involved”.

On Q Promotions has rapidly established itself as the one of the largest player management stables in the game, looking after 17 professional players from the £2m South West Snooker Academy on the outskirts of Gloucester.

Global-snooker’s Neil Tomkins agreed with Mount’s statement, adding “It makes sense in today’s economic climate to pool resources where possible, and this collaboration makes perfect sense to both of our organisations”.
