For the purposes of the Order of Merit £1=€1.
So 3rd rounds losers get £500 added to their total and 1/4 losers get £1,400 added.

Can somebody help. What is this plate tournament? How is it related to the main tournament?

The 64 loosers of the first round proper (last 128) play a single knockout-tournament for 2000 €.
        Lucky Dip history:

2010 Sangsom 6 Reds - eliminated at group stage

2010 BTV Cup Beijing - Winner with Tian Pengfei

Jones, do you have any grasp of the English language? You really do come out with some drivel sometimes.

People are not getting fed up with the PTC. It is a revelation and the players are enjoying it. I don't think possible £10,000 paydays every two weeks is a turn off either. I don't suppose the 100s of the people that are going to see this event over the next few days are complaining either!

If you're not happy, you can always travel over there yourself and see how difficult it is in such an arena. The GlobalSC/World Snooker guys work exceptionally hard to get this event on properly.

People are fed up of having nothing but scores to look at and getting bored senseless of that.

World Snooker are Not working hard at it they are bloody useless Regarding Global it is not their responsibility anyway so thats understandable.

But World Snooker needs to take their finger out of their ass pronto the PTC is turning out to be commercially a farce.

You make valid points mate, The lack of info to FANS is quite frankly appalling. If it was not for Janie we would know nothing.

Janie is brilliant but she cant be expected to be everywhere its not fair on her or her private life so World Snooker with all these PTC got to step up to the plate its their tournaments.

In World Snooker's defence, they appear to be updating their awful drawsheet with the results, for example Hendry is down as a 4-0 winner against Chuang (a walkover perhaps?), while Global haven't updated that yet.

But yeah it is dire to be honest, even if they put the results on their front page it would be a noticeable improvement.

The fans are any sports lifeblood. Instead of writing these bloody awful, puerile articles they do why cant they attempt to connect the players with the fans. I dont mean in the literal sense but with articles and subjects that actually have some substance instead of the garbage that they put out at present. The BBC are equally guilty of such drivel though as well.

Get some interviews ~(audio or video) of the players families and friends. Find out what it took for players to get where they are now, the highs and the heartbreaks and air snippets in between frames and at intervals. That's just one way that the players can connect and it will be a damn site more interesting than the tripe that the BBC have come up with lately.
As for their website, it is nothing short of a disgrace.

                                Not really surprised by that.
