Barry Hearn has brought a brand new deal.

We still have the ranking events with qualifiers and final televised stages.
The quali are played weeks before with no telly and we just read results each evening of that week.
On the final stages, we are able to watch the TOP16 and 16 qualifiers when they play on the televised tables.

The new ranking tournaments are World Open (on TV), and all the (E)PTC, with full random draw including all 96 players.
Of course, we are annoyed with hectic live results and no TV, but these events are anyway entertaining.

Barry and his friends will certainly think about what happened during all season and modify something for the next season pro tour.

The former tour gave big privilege to TOP16 and some pro players may have been on the tour for 10 years and never been on TV !
The World Open was interesting because we have watched a lot of the 96 pro players.

So, my big question is :
Do you think we have to keep the current system based on TOP16 and the others or evolve towards something where all 96 pros are more involved ?

Wrong forum for this really, but I would like to see atleast one more ranking event with 1 table situation. Best out of 9 would be good, but with it starting from the last 16 instead of the last 32.
