Winning his first tournament back after a six month suspension, not much practice, and no doubt constantly thinking about his father, proves that Higgins has more bottle (he's up there with talent too) than anybody who has ever played snooker.

I guess that answers the concerns about Higgins' form. Most people, including myself, were expecting him to struggle in the first couple of events at least, but it looks like it's only made him more determined and provided some inspiration for him.
But the UK Championship will still be an important test for him. He is probably going to have to face a somewhat hostile crowd, which can be difficult to overcome. In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing it, and I hope he plays some of the snooker he is famous for.

I was one of the few that was quietly confident that Higgins would do well on his return, though it was still something of a surprise to see him getting back to winning ways so soon.
Will be interesting to see if his good form will continue at the UK Championship.Last edited by spike; 14 November 2010, 08:02 PM."Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."

Congratulations. I´m amazed that he actually managed to win, even though it´s a small format tournament. We still have to count on John Higgins from now on!....its not called potting its called snooker. Quote: WildJONESEYE
