  • EPTC Event 4 in Hamm, 12-14 November 2010

    Hello!
I'm planning to go there. Would be my first time in Germany and I don't speak the language.
Could any German-speaking member or experienced member of the forum help me concerning transportation tips? As far as I know, the nearest airport is the one in Dusseldorf, and I'm flying from Budapest.
How far is Dusseldorf from Hamm, what are the best train connections? I would look it up, except the Dusseldorf airport website is down.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Cat

Yes, the nearest Airport is Dusseldorf. From there you can either take the ICE train or the RE (Regional Express) directly to Hamm. It'll take you about 1 hour. The trains go about every half hour. I'll recommend to take the RE. It's cheaper
Have a look at www.bahn.de (several languages available) to get the times and prices.

      Thank you, Kyra.
      Much appreciated.
Now fingers crossed Ronnie will be there. Even if he isn't, it will be my first ranking tournament, after 2 Leagues, so...wheee!

according to what I learned at school and what google also confirms: Dortmund is the nearest airport (appox. 45 km away) not duesseldorf (approx 100km away)

John Higgins has Joe Jogia in his first match of EPTC5 but has Mark Williams in his second round match! Be intresting to see how he get's on and if he will take a couple frames of Williams (or Jogia for that matter).

He won't have Mark Williams in his second round!!! You've misread the draw!!!

It will be interesting to follow John Higgins comeback and get an impression of how much he has been set back.

                              There's now a new draw at WorldSnooker.com:

                              http://www.worldsnooker.com/site_fil...TC5%20Draw.pdf

Does anyone know why there was a redraw?
