I am a Ding fan, It must be hard to swallow when you have made an effort to acheive, have the qualifying points or pounds earned to earn a spot. But are not able to compete because the lawyers have made the rules to satisfy the venue's instead of the players.
I try hard, play hard and dont always succeed, at first.!!!!:snooker:

I think, this rule (must play in 3 out of 6 PTC (sheffield) and 3 out of 6 EPTC) is stupid.

      I VOTE YES!
Why do you think this is a stupid rule?

Personally, i don't think it should be down to the 24 top earners, it should be down to the amount of EPTC and PTC tournaments entered and then go on prize money.

What I find funny now is that O'sullivan has only entered 2/6 of the UK PTC's according to World Snooker which means he isnt eligible for the finals. So most likely now they will have some wild cards or they risk losing there top draw (Robertson + Hendry aswell probably)

No there wont be ANY Wild Cards its tough tits on them you cant change the Rules mid Comp that Really smells of Desperation and Not very Professional in the Focus of World Snooker.

The Rules are fine as it is and im looking forward to seeing new exciting faces playing established stars dont need or even want rules changed next season either.

I agree, this is why its NOT a stupid rule. If the players want the bigger pay packet they should turn up to work more

Seeing as its a "job" for these players, maybe Barry should demand a doctor's note if/when they dont turn up for work

                        interesting idea
There is, I believe, a time limit for playing a shot. But I think it's true to say that nobody knows what that limit is

I agree rules are rules these players have worked hard on thier ranking and order of merit on the ptc/eptc tours by entering all events

also how will the draw be done for the tv stages will it be random or will 17th Placed V 24th placed) in rd 1 18 v 23 and so on and then the N0 1 in the order of merit will play 17 or 24 in the order of merit like the world championship draw goes
Ronnie O' Sullivan seven times the record breaking Snooker Master

Also, anyone know what happens if 24th place is held by 2 players thus making 25 finalists?
