Which means that O´Sullivan won´t be in the final of the tournament, as he has only played two of six tournaments.
But is it enough for participation to sign up for the tournament and pay the entry fee? Then you just withdraw just before the tournament and it still counts? Do you actually have to play one game? After all, he's already in top 24 so he's got the place in the finals atm.

PLAYERS TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP 2010/2011 - ENTRY PACK: "Players Tour Championship Final (17-20 March 2011): The top 24 players (members/non members) on the final PTC Order of Merit who have played in a minimum 6 PTC events (3 x Europe; 3 x UK) will qualify for the PTC Final."
So "played in" it is. As Wild said, signing up and then withdrawing doesn't count.

EPTC1 drawsheet on World snooker shows Ronnie making it to the Last 64 even though he did not turn up.... His opponent (Yu De Lu) withdrew before Ronnie did. Surely if Ronnie didn't turn up neither names should be taken forward? Can anyone answer the following questions:
Did Ronnie recieve the 200 euro for making it to the last 64?
Did he recieve the ranking points for reaching the last 64?
