  • PTC Championship Top 24 Qualifiers

    As long as I've got my calculations right, the following are the top 24 in the Order of Merit, and go to the ranking event later in the season:

    1 Shaun Murphy 23200
    2 Mark Selby 21300
    3 Barry Pinches 19100
    4 Marcus Campbell 17700
    5 Judd Trump 17600
    6 Mark J. Williams 17100
    7 Dominic Dale 16800
    8 Stephen Lee 16200
    9 Tom Ford 15000
    10 Stephen Maguire 14400
    11 Michael Holt 10900
    12 Liang Wenbo 10700
    13 Martin Gould 10600
    14= Marco Fu 10100
    14= Ricky Walden 10100
    16 Anthony Hamilton 9900
    17 Stuart Bingham 9800
    18 Jack Lisowski 9600
    19 Jamie Jones 9400
    20 Andrew Higginson 8700
    21= Mark Davis 8300
    21= Matthew Stevens 8300
    23 Gerard Greene 7700
    24 Joe Jogia 7500

    John Higgins finished 9th, and Ding Junhui finished 12th, but neither completed the total number of events to be elibigle for the finals.

    Does this mean it will be Ford vs Jogia, Maguire vs Greene etc.?

      The top 8 players will be seeded into the second round and the 9-24 players will play eachother in the first round. Not sure if it's a random draw or not thoug.

        This is really interesting, there isn't one particular dominating character, maybe with the exception of Mark Williams. Has anyone noticed that outta the above 24 there is about 19 that are ranked outside the top 16? For most matches, however they're drawn, it'll be very tough to call a winner

          Favourites are obviously Selby, Murphy and Williams in that order, but things havent been easy to predict this season so who knows. Other contenders based on form atm probably are Gould, Lee, Campbell and Stevens.
