Same as mate.... I'm really enjoying being able to watch all the snooker this season!!

Good win for Ronnie and great to see Stevens playing some nice snooker and getting to the business end of tournaments again!!

It's simple isn't it, you love snooker / PTCs = lots of snooker / you love PTCs!

Really don't understand why they're not more popular, maybe as Cally mentioned earlier, it's down to lack of advertising, IDK, either way I'm well into them now, never been able to watch so much snooker in all my life, way-hay!

          • I'm really like the format, can't understand the empty seats tho, my nearest venue is Sheffield and guess what, no spectators, Grrr.
I'm sure the players enjoy it more when there's an audience.
            People say I disagree a lot, but I don't think I do.

Absolutely. Maybe it'll pick up in time, people just getting used to a new idea, and lets face it, we snooker fans (me included) can be a bit too errr, traditional?

              • Maybe people in the UK are better used. If I had the possibility to chose between tournaments, I would probably spare my money for the Cruicible. As it is my closest tournament is the German Master but still 8 hours drive away.

Don´t get me wrong. I like the PTCs and the change to snooker for the last 1 and a half season. It´s nice to see, that the players has to show their potential if they want to stay in the top of the rankings. As a spectator I would prefer a filled room with the tension coming out of that instead of sitting together with one or two more.

I'm sure it will and I'm def traditional or "old school", the fact that these PTC's come around every couple of weeks or so and streamed live with no favourites make them more interesting, for me, keep em coming.

I think if the fans start to realise what a great 'all-round' experience they can have a the PTCs many more would attend.
Not only can you see ALL the Top 96 players over 2 days, but you can sit and chat with them, get photos, autographs etc.
The players are much more approachable and accessible at a PTC than at any other event.

I know many spectators who attended South West Snooker Academy went home very very happy. They'd met their idols, got photos with them, of them, autographs, seen them play3 matches in one day.

                    It's great value.

Maybe it's fan snobbery that they don't perceive a PTC event as they would the UK or the World and aren't bothering to turn out.

We did have a lot of spectators during the weekend but with matches spread across 8 or 9 tables, you won't see a big crowd on the main arena table unless it worked out that the players in that match were the favourite player of every spectator in the building.

We have the UK qualifiers early November and it will be interesting to see if the hardened snooker fans turn out for this, while some of the 'fans of players' might not show up. I certainly expect a slightly different audience.

There's a special Ticket offer for any who haven't noticed. World Snooker are offering 25% off tickets for York to anyone who's bought tickets for the UK qualifiers.

Well put Janie, I for one would have loved to have been there but for the obvious distance.
I bought tickets for UK at York (15 mins up the road) @50% disc. a bargain.
