PTCs 5-9 entry lists

Ding has only entered event 5! - does anyone know why? - this means he'll have to enter events 11 and 12 to get his full quota of EPTCs and be eligible for finals event.

This won't help his chances of staying in the top 4.

PTC5 - Figueiredo, Haneveer
PTC6 - Allen, Burnett, Ding, Doherty, Figueiredo, Haneveer, Hendry, Higgins, McCulloch, Meara, O'Sullivan, Selby, J White, Williams
(so none of top 4 entered plus 3 other top 16 players)
PTC7 - Bedford, Ding, Figueiredo, Haneveer
PTC8 - Ding, Figueiredo, Haneveer
PTC9 - Allen, Ding, Figueiredo, Meara

so most interesting thing to note is Ding's non entry for events 6-9 meaning he must play in 11 and 12 to be eligible for finals event (if he has enough points). Does anyone have any insight on this or any other non entrants?

Well Igor not enterig is nothing new, its financial as far as I know.
Haneveer has some injury, right?
The rest non entrants are rather random, not making an event or 2 except for Ding. Well, he wasn`t that great supporter for PTC`s last year either, so somehow it doesn`t surprise me

It`s only the PTC 6 in Poland where we have the big names not entering, including Selby who usually plays in them all, so not sure about that one. But atleast some disappointment for late withdrawals is spared, we know who`s not coming, so less chance to end up waiting for a match that wouldn`t take place due to not showing up.

My problem is I would like to play in them all just for the experience (I'm an amateur and not a great one either) but I would also like to play in the World Masters in China so budget, time and travel become big items since we have 14 or 15 ranking events and big tournaments between late September and May.

But I think it would be good to have some Canadian participation again on the world snooker circuit however our better players like Chaperone, Robidoux, Zeigler, Finstad, White and all the others don't participate likely due to money issues. Of course on the other hand our present Canadian Champion is a POOL PRO!!!! Aaarrrgh! (But he happens to be a damned good snooker player too)
