Gotta agree with irishsnooker, if this is the best Hearn can come up with then he needs to quit now in order for snooker to maintain some sort of reputation and respect.

This is like watching good quality players taking the **** out of the game with drunken crowds acting very childish and making for TV viewing to be very boring and frustrating.

Snooker is a game of immense skill and tactics, not about hurrying the game up, sexy walk on girls and loud crowd participation, if i want that I'll watch darts. Hearn has taken his PDC events to the snooker audience and whilst some will enjoy it the genuine snooker fans who have watched for years and will always have an interest in the game will feel alienated by this pathetic attempt to jazz up the game.

Well, it does all seem kinda tacky. I wonder if part of the crowd is hired by Barry Hearn to create some 'atmosphere', or if they are just really very drunk. Maybe both.

How can listening to a room full of ****-heads be enjoyable in the slightest? This country is looking more like the decline of the Roman empire every week. Everyone involved should hang their heads in shame. I'd rather see snooker die a natural death than morph into this ugly, hedonistic tripe.
