Not loving it so far. It seems to be that they could have made it so that the only new rules are the shot clock and the 30 minute game limit, where it's the points you earn that determines the winner, rather than frames. For me, that would have been enough of a change, and would have sped the game up a bit. Don't like all the power zone and extra points stuff.

We virtually have that already in the Premier League.

This is meant to be completely different.

        Sh*t! Nice one Ronnie.
Oh, and that's a bad miss.

Well, it being completely different is likely to alienate some fans. I think there's too much going on, personally.

now that you mentioned PLS, i dont have a good feeling for Ding,
i wonder if his recent losses in PLS would affect his play today...

A potential flaw is the miss rule, which shouldn't exist in this format. Also, i hope negative tactics don't come into play when someone gets a decent lead. Entertaining so far though, even with Joe Johnson on Eurosport commentary!

This game could be very popular down the Snooker Halls.

Yowsers, I'm all for making snooker more accessible to the masses, but seriously what is all this about?

I'm not sure if Selby being tired is actually his gimmick for this event, or if he actually is really fed up. It's worse than that six red tournament that sky showed last christmas.

EDIT: jeepers, this is only my second post in three years!

I think you just gotta watch it for what it is a bit of fun, we are always going to love the proper game of snooker, this is just a gimmick but its fairly entertaining none the less.

Its not bad, so scrappy though. Feels like im watching a game of pool. And those mugs in the crowd that keep shouting during the shots are coming off as total *****!
