If you concede you will give your opponent the value of the balls left on the table as it's an aggregate match.

As for the setup itself, I don't like it. The people that are sat at the tables on the floor can't even see the table, they have to watch the giant screen. They might as well have stayed at home and watch it on tv, probably more atmosphere in my living room than in that venue.

Patricia Murphy. Not sure why she is doing it and not one of the other top refs with Michaela to be honest. Patricia used to ref for World Snooker sometime ago at the qualifiying events, but from what i've heard she wasn't upto the job. As far as i'm aware she hasn't worked with World Snooker for a number of years, unless someone can tell me different. For me this is a gimmick by the organisers to help promote the game, using 2 female refs. Otherwise why else would you bring someone to ref who wasn't deemed good enough to do the job at the main events? We all know Michaela can, but if they want to invite the best players to promote this format, surely they should use the best refs too?

That was a good match, quite enjoyed it. Much better than man against boy.

What is this crowd going to be like by 9 oclock, when they've each sunk a dozen beers or so.

Ronnie won the first match, Carter the second.

Presumably because most of the top refs will be at EPTC4?

Oh yeah, didn't think of that. If that's the case then, I wonder why Michaela isn't at EPTC 4?

My first impression when I read the rules was that it would be pure rubbish, but after watching the first 2 matches, I have to say it's not that good.

That wasn't a cigarette. It looked like a toy because it glowed blue and he put it in his pocket lol
