I have just watched the recording of the two matches and I cannot believe that Hendry got away with the Time Foul in the first frame. He had a pink I think it was and the buzzer went off for a Time Foul around about the pause at the end of his backswing. It so clearly was a Time Foul and I cannot believe Paul Collier the referee didn't award a foul. I honestly think it would have made a difference to the match if a foul was awarded.

it was a time foul however in my mind time fouls dont count in snooker so im happy he got away with it.

They don't in normal snooker but they do, or supposed to, in the Premier League!

might be time to scrap shot clocks then because players or referee dont give a dam about it anyway

Another mistake i noticed regarding 1 shot ...cant remember who was the player but he had been studieng the shot for a while before the shot clock started....

theres plenty like that....it isnt consistant enough.

It is what makes the Premier League unique, I don't think it should be used for any other major events.

yes youre right but they got to get it consistant...

for example it might be the case the clock started to soon on the hendry shot and thats why he got away with it...

It seems that the time is continued counting even when the ref is cleaning the ball.

What if he drops the ball and takes another 10 seconds or more to retrieve it, then another 10 seconds to clean it and another 5 try to put it back on the table? Will the time foul be called on the player?

Then the player has to question himself why in the first place he wanted that cue ball to be cleaned! =D

PS: I was watching the Trump/Hendry match, I found that Trump's play is really not up to standard, i would prefer Liangwenbo though. He was really lucky to have won the match against Hendry.
