just thinking back, how did ronnie qualify for the premier league this yr as he didn't finish anywhere in the championship league to get his place?

he was invited who wouldnt mind he was last years finalist and is 9th time winner

i'm a ronnie fan, just wondered how he got there.

Final of last years tournament. Look through the history of the event every finalist gets invited the following year

Here is how the 7 players were selected:

- Muprhy ---> Defending Champion.
- O'Sullivan ---> Last season's Shanghai Masters Champion.
- Robertson ---> Last season's World Champion & GP Champion.
- Williams ---> Last season's China Open Champion.
- Ding ---> Last season's UK Champion.
- Fu ---> Winner of Championship League.
- selby ---> Last season's Masters Champion.

There is no chance in hell anyone would have replaced O'Sullivan.

I'm sure O'Sullivan was the first choice, other than Murphy and Fu who weren't choices at all, and I'm sure he will be the first choice for another couple of years, whether he wins anything or not.
