News in from Plymouth

The Plymouth Regional Qualifier was won by Matt Williams representing Rileys Plymouth.

In the semi final he beat Chris Wynn from Taunton by 3 frames to nil.

Matt had breaks of 79, 105 and 53

In the second semi final Alan Tunney from Torquay beat Julian Bray from Exeter again by 3 frames to nil.

In the final Matts strength told and he won a very tight final by 3 frames to one with modest breaks of 45, 31, 46 with Alan Tunney returning breaks of 30 and 69.

Ferret... Ivan's gone done to the Riley's Guildford play off so we should get some results from that.

Hopefully the viral network between the players will supply the winners of other Riley Regional Events

To what I knew before I can add that Sam Harvey won the Rileys Stevenage play off.

we had lads from Brighton area down at Gloucester Tim but that's a bit off your track - also one of your "ladies" Marianne came down to play. In fact she's still here on the practice tables.

The first round results were Richard Beckham beat Stephen Healy 3-1
In the second round Richard Beckham beat John Nicholson 3-0
And John Astley beat Lee Halonsky 3-0
And in the final Richard Beckham beat John Astley 3-2

Sam Baird won Gloucester late last night

Q Bar Chester is on the final at the moment and Chris Norbury leads Neal Jones 2-1

Sadly our very Lee Gorton won't make it through to the venue!
