I saw the end of the McCulloch-Brecel match yesterday, and it was just cruel. The frame score was pretty much level when Brecel managed to snooker Ian on either the final red or the yellow, I can't quite remember. Ian got out of it, but left Brecel in, and he potted the colours up to the blue to leave Ian needing a snooker. Ian played a great shot to snooker Luca behind the black, but Luca hit the pink quite easily. The only problem was that after he hit the pink off two cushions the white slowly dropped into the yellow pocket, while quite incredibly the pink ended up at the jaws of the bottom right pocket with the black on its spot. Ian potted the two balls to win the decider by one point and celebrated as if he had won the whole tournament. He got so excited he looked like he was going to punch Brecel in the face instead of shaking his hand, but he was able to manage a handshake of some sort. Needless to say Luca was gutted.

As for today, I might be able to watch the evening session with the White-Suwannawat match looking far more interesting than the Hicks-Yan one (how did they pick that?).

Yes they're both being streamed. I'm watching it on liveworldsnooker.com, it's only £3 a month, but you should be able to get it on sportlemon or such like. Is the link at the top for table 1 not working?

I've just tried it, and it seems they've got the tables mixed up. Try the link for table 2, the white match is on there.

Some good stuff from Jimmy in the fourth frame. He showed Suwannawat how to lay a snooker or two.

Great frame to win for jimmy, his safety play has vastly improved

Lets hope he can push on now

Jimmy wins 6-2 and finishes the match with a nice century break.....

Yes it was a good solid performance from him, but Suwannawat had a bit of a mare really.
