  • This tournament still looks to be very wide open, with no one playing to the very best of their ability at present. Makes for an exciting tournament though..

But Mark Davis is dangerous I tell ya! We can probably see an upset here

Offourse he is dangerous, but maguire is a different class when in form. Also he awaits the winner from Higginson vs Burnet for the QF, which means that the route to the SF is wide open for him, no disrespect for the others.

That's true...an in-form Maguire is extremely good! Will be interesting to see the match

I'm still going with my original prediction that Mark Selby will win this tournament. I reckon at the end of this year, he will be in the Top 3 at the very least.

                  • Great match this Carter vs Bingham. I can't belive Bingham didn't win the fifth frame. That shot on the black hanging over the pocket was horrible.

Could you enlarge upon that statement? I'm imagining all sorts of things from a streaker to a black over the pocket surrounded by reds!

                            • Carter wins 5-3. He played some fast flowing snooker here, but it has to be said that ballrun had a really bad run of the balls at times.
