Yes, could be. And it's gone 4-0 now. Quite surprising actually. It reminds me of two years ago, when Liang lost 5-0 to Day in the 1st round, although he was of course the qualifier in that match.

The last frame lasted just over an hour, a lot of it on the yellow, where Liang needed a snooker and got the penalty points when Stevens pocketed the black. After a safety battle, Liang got the chance, but missed an easy brown and then conceded.
Okay thanks. Regarding the poor attendance, I do remember David Hendon saying that many of the spectators are seated up on the balcony as they can get to see both tables that way..

Very much so. I don't understand why more players do the old fashioned up-and-down shot, and stick the pink on the baulk cushion with the white on the bottom cushion.

4-2 Maguire leads. The two frames that Trump has won in this match has been break-building and potting of the highest quality!

            Scores in the other matches:

Graeme Dott 3-3 Ken Doherty (I fancy Ken to nick that one)
Mark Allen 2-4 Stuart Bingham (Maybe Allen suffering from a lack of PTC practice?)
Liang Wenbo 0-4 Matt Stevens (Looks like Matthew is taking Liang's place in the Top 16!)

Fantastic break building, it really has been of high quality in this match. Maybe a bit of messy pants syndrome (to quote my football club's manager!) creaping into Maguire?

Well there you go, the three frames that Trump won were one-visit frames, but he lost all the others. It's really tough to beat someone like Maguire when he's playing well, with only one weapon in your arsenal.

Wenbo is doing a little comeback at the moment. Can he push it to the full distance..?

Can anyone confirm the score in Dott v Docherty?. World rubbish erm snooker says 4-4 but Global and Eurosport say Graeme won 5-3

A couple of brilliant shots from Liang to get to only 3-4 behind. Not a great moment for me to have to leave, but hopefully the match will be available on Eurosport player soon.

Liang Wenbo is now confirm to lose his Top 16 spot, having only held it for 5 months.

Talking about rankings, Stephen Hendry, if he doesn't pull his socks up in the next couple of tournaments, he will also be out of the top 16. He has a lot of points to defend in the next few tournaments. Hendry got to the Semis in Bahrain, and that's due to go in the next revision.

Disappointing result for Allen, but better news for Dott and Stevens who came through their first round matches..
