Yet another comeback from Selby, he won the last 3 frames to beat Murphy 5 - 4.

Yep, it was another class performance by Selby. Nothing flashy, just good solid snooker under a lot of pressure. There was a moment near the end where Shaun could have taken it, but either the pressure got to him, or Selby had him off the table long enough that he wasn't firing on all cylinders.

Yeah, some shoddy stuff from Murphy towards the end there, the white in the middle pocked, should've been nowhere near. He often seems to have trouble getting over the line, I think he relaxes too soon, assuming it's done and dusted, not something to do against Selby who's exactly the opposite.

Looking at the h2h between these two, it wasn't all that much of a surprise that Selby beat Murphy yet again. Even at 2-4 down i still fancied Selby to claw his way back and possibly take the match..

I only saw the last two shots of Williams-Stevens game... How was the standard of the game? Williams took it convincingly but did he play well, was Matthew struggling...?

He played pretty well for most of the match, yeah, but Stevens didn't put him under any pressure. From what I've seen from Robertson, it should be a great SF match.

If Williams is playing at full strength no way Robertson can beat him of course. So it depends of M J Williams.
I saw that going differently in my mind

I personally like Selby's chances but Williams is hard to beat too when he is in from.
                        Then Robertson just beat Higgins.
What an exciting tournament, so hard to predict who would go out and who would win.:-)
I wonder if the tables are slower as it seems that way to me.

Robertson at full power is at least very close to Williams. His matches against Higgins in the grand prix 2 years ago and O´Sullivan last year in the final showed how well he can perform.

King knows how to beat Selby in a best of 11. I think the Shark will have more respect this time, so it will be tougher. It's also late in the tournament. But King likes the early start and the one table set up.

Shelby was steady, King was out of sorts to say the least!
Shame I would have liked King to have 1) played better, 2) possibly won the comp.
I see Williams beeating Robbo in a close match, then Williams taking the comp.
But then I have never been right with my predictions!
                                Up the TSF! :snooker:
