I only seen the score from when Parrott was 4-2 up. Was he 4-1 or 4-0 up too?

is Gunnell on a max there? forget that, apparently not, but is was a 112 at least in the end...

4-4 Jamie Cope vs John Parrott MBE
2-4 Gerard Greene vs Scott MacKenzie
1-3 Stuart Bingham vs Alan McManus
4-3 Joe Perry vs Stuart Pettman
3-1 Dave Harold vs Joe Jogia
      1-4 Barry S Hawkins vs Fergal O'Brien
1-3 Anthony Hamilton vs Adrian Gunnell
5-0 Dominic Dale vs Rory McLeod

Cope might yet pull this off

Cope looking good now, in fact (53-1 now) can't see JP winning this now...

Must be a sickner for JP after the good lead he had.

True... but at least he won his first match... he started off the season provisionally 31, so he still has a good chance at Top 32.

Stuart Pettman has had a good run - beating 3 players including Hicks and Perry. If he doesnt have a wildcard in the next round his next opponent will be no less than Ronnie where surely it'll finally be curtains for Mr Pettman.

I'm gutted for JP, but at least he won 1 match and can scare the likes of Jamie Cope, who I really think could win something this season.

Well he played Ronnie O'Sullivan in the first match of the first tournament last season and should have won. He blew a great chance in the final frame and lost 5-4 so there is hope. Plus we all Ronnie "hates travelling" etc

I agree. I don't expect Ronnie to do too well in the first event.

I think Parrott would have won it if he'd got past Cope!!

At this moment Stevens has lost 9 frames in a row. I wonder what the record is?
