            Tony Drago beats Swail 5-4

Great achievment to come through 4 qualifying rounds. Just a possible wildcard in the way of a match with Day now.

Besides Drago's qualification, the biggest surprise for me so far is Dunn beating King, and so comfortably. I didn't expect Judge to beat Allen either. Stevens looks like he's making a match of it now though (3-3).

(BTW, I've renamed the thread since we've moved on from Jimmy, I'll PM ferret about getting the new forum sections in)

Stevens shows huge character to come from 3-0 and 4-3 down to win 5-4. Well done Matthew.

Great comment by Tony Drago after his match today, to the organisers.

I'm sorry I didn't bring my passport to arrange my visa to China because I didn't think I'd get this far!!!

Seems that the marathon match is over!

                      Ian McCulloch 5-1 Ricky Walden

                      Oh, and Bond won 5-3.

Heheh. I think Steve Davis did a simillar thing last season too; checking out of his hotel before a match against Graham Dott as he didnt think he would win. He ended up doing much better than he expected too.

Does anyone know what the draw for the wildcard round is yet?
We`ve seen some intersting results this week...
I wonder who well Tony Drago will do in Shanghai (assuming he get`s his visa in time?)

Great to see Tony performing well at last. In fact, he is the only player who was able to qualify from Round 1 (although he didn't have to play against Kachaiwong). Shame he still needs to win a wildcard match to get to the last 32.

Yeah tony Drago is actually now in joint first place on the one year list. Amazing.

I think this may have confused a few people so I will explain...

As this is the first event of the year, everybody before this week was on 0 points on the one year list.

THerefore anybody who just qualified for the Shanghaii main stages is currently on 1400 points for the year (700 higher than the current top 16 who are only on 700 right now.)

Therefore Tony Drago is currently in joint first place on the one year list along with the 15 other qualifiers.
