But the thing is Ryan Day hasn't been in the position to win titles whereas Matthew has. Nobody should lose a match when you are 12-7 up and its first to 13. He bottled it in the final against Murphy when took on the most stupid shot I have ever seen when leading 11-10 he took a frame ball blue on with his left hand and missed. The only time Ryan Day bottled it of any note was when he should have knocked Higgins out of the 1st round at the 2004 WC when he missed match ball pink at 9-7 up.

having the bottle to get consistently further than Day, its inevitable that he will have more chances to mess up and play terrible, and hence bottle it every now and again.

The difference between Day and Stevens, Day never got to a world final! And Stevens did! Also Matthew had quite some opportunities to win a world title where he was at the finishing line and did not cross over. The same last season when he lead 12-7 against Murphy and did not take fhe final frame. Difference between Day and Stevens, the first one is an up and coming player while Stevens is an established player.

And dont come and tell me it is not a right thing to say! it is my opinion, or is this again the daily slag off another member moment? I AM ENTITLED TO MY OPINION!

I did not say you cannot express your opinion. I just stated my opinion (ok, should have added IMHO), I don't think that only playing in world final and losing there means the guy is a bottler. If he is a bottler, he'll be a bottler in any tournament - and I don't think Matthew has always been a bottler in those.

its all opinion, as no matter how you define bottler, its how you think a person has lost. (did he just miss, due to a bad technique, or did pressure make him miss)

as, players miss easy pots while not under pressure at all, so its hard to say whether the pressure made a difference

as said, all opinion, and i like yours PTS, even though i dont agree.

The obvious ones would be Selby and Dott, but Lee is in with a shout. Since I have seen him playing at Wembley hes allowed to lose though! Bingham is the dark horse here.
