Let me cut the **** about entitled to opinion and IMO and IMHO and the lot that people seem to have to add to their comment every time they state something debatable.

There's bottle and there's bottle. You don't get to the Main Tour or indeed PIOS without having a lot of bottle compared to the huge mass of very very good snooker players that is out there.

But you still need much more bottle to get to the busness end of any pro tournament. And even more if you are going to win it.

And let me add that Dale gets my vote for champion now that the other remaining players clearly have an aura of mediocrity and indifferennce around them.

all: how do we think the tournament has been so far?

I think it's been OKish, what I remember most clear is Davis v O'Brien. It was a thrilling match and a superb break in the end from Davis. Otherwise a bit mediocre.

all: how do we think the tournament has been so far?

well, just some observations as I haven't seen much:

1) very interesting results (probably because the first tournament of the season and some pros still in holiday mood), quite good snooker from what I've seen
2) something wrong with the organization - who plays on TV tables etc., so some of the most interesting matches were not shown at all
3) and finally TSF has became active again, lots of interesting discussion and thanks to everybody who's been posting on this thread, enjoy reading them (and feeling almost like watching the game actually)

Its on course to being a great tournament as Murphy went out in round 1 and Dott could still win it. Some great comebacks especially from Stevens but the schedualing was poor as they shouldn't have a wildcard round also the first round shouldn't take 3 days to complete.

id say its been a good "startup" tournament, but dissapointed in how slow the table has played (know the reasons given, but still not great).

think if this tournament was on in the middle of the season itd be even harder for the players to get used to, as theyre all used to super quick tables

that aside, been quite a good standard, though not too many great matches

at least half a dozen, but every one ive seen, the pot (they were all attempted pots) was still made, though position was out on most for the next shot
