                • Fantastic break under pressure there from Davis. Again he has proved us he still has the capacity of producing magic snooker in patches.

Cheerful interview with a visibly relieved and happy Davis (no wonder).

Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

                    • Looks like it was another extremely comfortable win for Davis, as expected.

I know that some might question whether it is good sportsmanship to do what he quite often does these days: toying with his opponents and letting them go way in front, Davis knowing that he can easily then win as many frames as he wants and cruise through to win the match. Some may even call it cruel to give his opponents imaginary, false hope. However, I say credit to him for doing this in order to keep the crowds and you all entertained, thinking that there was ever uncertainty about the final result.

First time that I remember him doing this was in the 1997 Masters Final, having a little fun to go 4-8 behind before deciding to stop teasing his opponent - but there were probably earlier occasions that I have forgotten.
"If anybody can knock these three balls in, this man can."
David Taylor, 11 January 1982, as Steve Davis prepared to pot the blue, in making the first 147 break on television.

Hahaha, I wonder if you got any fingernails left?

Tonight is celebration time in Davis' ringside, but seriously not considering the very last frame that must have been one of the poorest matches Steve has ever played, if not the poorest.

I seriously think he hit an all-time low in terms of medium and long pots. Probably with Fergal not much better.
