one of the best out of millions of players worldwide
perhaps not got what it takes to be number 1, but certainly dont get as far in the game as he has done without bottle

True, achieved more than the average player. But not enough to win the ultimate, what its all about. A bottler in my book when it matters. 2 world finals and the Murphy comeback is enough evidence for me. In my post, I of course compare him with the best players (where he could have been) not with the average club player.

i like good debate
i dont think jimmy white is a bottler. he maybe bottled 1 final. 2 max. he made the final several times. showed lots of bottle to get there
machoo is a top player out of millions who play the game
hes been in the top 10% of snooker pros or so, for about 10 years
to me, that takes a lot of bottle, the amount of matches against players who (you must think) have more bottle and are better
as i said, hes no bottler for me. one of the best pros about, and used bottle and skill to get there. just because he may not have what it takes to be number 1, or to win a worlds doesnt mean hes a bottler
using that, theres not too many players over the years who arent bottlers, especially since the start of the crucible years
everyone else bottlers? or just came up against better players most times?

if you aint wont the worlds (or been number 1), or so, then youre a bottler.
over 90% of pro players in the last 30 years are bottlers?
i dont think so

Sorry, a bit off topic but i woke up late, couldn't do my lil black magic for Matthew as i did yesterday and having a bit of trouble with the site
Sorry, can't reply to those who have paged me
They're showing the match on eurosport now & it's no fun watching when u know the result but it seems Ryan played well & deserved his win...
I'm glad Matthew reached that stage too, hopefully it's a good start to his season & the start he'd been wishing for to get himself back amongst the top ranks

The difference between Day and Stevens, Day never got to a world final! And Stevens did! Also Matthew had quite some opportunities to win a world title where he was at the finishing line and did not cross over. The same last season when he lead 12-7 against Murphy and did not take fhe final frame. Difference between Day and Stevens, the first one is an up and coming player while Stevens is an established player.
And dont come and tell me it is not a right thing to say! it is my opinion, or is this again the daily slag off another member moment? I AM ENTITLED TO MY OPINION!
(where I dont mean Semihs' post, thats founded on criteria and arguments)
