Yes, great to see from both. I'm 30 and was a Hurricane and spiky Hendry fan in those days. Liked White and Parrott as well, but seeing White and Davis doing well is very encouraging.

and Dave again was there http://snookerscene.blogspot.com/200...-wins-too.html

The Chinese will get to see a lot of the old big names this time, and Judd Trump for the first time. All this should generate a lot of interest.

All it needs now is for Ronnie to put a decent effort in aswell.

Wondered if there is another source for provisional rankings as it seems that Global snooker centre and keeping them upto date as they usually do. Seen the 1 on World snooker but it doesnt factor in qualifiers points
              Thanks

Yes it does. But only after the tournament proper is finished I think.

Wow. Just noticed Mark Williams leads Mark Joyce 2-1.
Mark with the MBE seems to have won second frame with a 101 run...

Didn't know Stevens was playing Alan McManus once again. Matthew's leading 4-0 now.

How the game can change in 2 weeks time only..

I must admit that I didn't think Jimmy would do this well, he didn't even say he was playing well in practice so far in this season.

It's nice to see Walden, Trump, Ford and Cope through. Harold seems to be the in-form man, so there might be a first round exit on the cards for Ding.

yeah it looks like hes definately going to get back into the top 16. I doubt if hes going to be a world beater again though TBH. Maybe just those ranked 10 and below should watch out, as he'll probably beat all of them as it looks at the moment. Unless he goes on to raise his game again to a higher level yet...

I can see Williams winning the world champs again. If John Higgins won it after 9 years why can't Mark do it aswell?
