    • Looks like Anthony Hamilton is blowing his chances at the minute. From 2-0 up, now 4-2 down. He's had chances in three of the last four frames.

Maguire may fall over the line in this frame, but hasn't been overly convincing, although Hawkins is a decent player.

      • Mags did his best to keep the match alive and gave Barry a good few chances to go for a decider. But Barry won't have it!
        Both unconvincing!

        • Maguire through, but needs to improve.

Fu also going through, but also helped by his opponent missing chances.

Ryan was just like he usually is, great allround game and not wasting the chances Wenbo gave him, which weren't that much to be fair.

I think Maguire is one of the most underrated players ever. He didn't even need to raise his game to beat an in form decent player like Barry. I definitely fancy him to be world number one *soon*.

            • Does anyone have an up-to-date provisional ranking list?

Should be some interesting matches, I am looking forward to Higgins-Day and Williams-Cope, but also O'Sullivan-Perry could be good. So basically most of the lower half of the draw I guess Davis-Harold will be awfully slow...

Ah, good point that I forgot. Well, Marco is pretty inconsistent at times but I'll be expecting him to raise his game now that he's in the Top 16 and that he definitely has what it takes to win a title. I heard Joe Johnson was making a comment how he struggles more against the lower ranked players - I wonder why that is.

Also, I'm so glad that I got a pretty good university timetable, which means I'll be free to watch all day tomorrow and Friday. I can't wait for the O'Sullivan and Perry match but I believe Ronnie will take this one. In his post match interview from Monday (I think it was), he said that he wanted to work hard on his third successive title. I know China isn't exactly his thing but it sounds like he's up for it. I'm going to call a 5-4 defeat of Joe Perry. While others may call Perry a heavy-weight, I don't think I can quite agree with that term. I still think it's too early to tell now that he's only just started to play his better game.
Speaking of the other members of the Top 16 - what is going on?! Shaun is out in the first round. I never thought I'd be seeing that but he's playing rubbish - maybe Malta will give him back the confidence he needs but that's not until quite some time away.
Meanwhile, the result of the Ding match wasn't very surprising for me. Harold's at the top of his game and hopefully he can repeat the success he did in the North Ireland Trophy. I fancy him beating Davis.

Barry was no way in form. He missed again and again and was visibly annoyed with himself. Maguire did not need to raise his game, but he really did give Barry many chances! Far too much to be honest. Both were under their usual level.

According to Worldsnoker , Ronnie is due to play in the evening session , 7.45 pm Beijing time ( 12.45 UK time).
IN fact , i think the 4 matches in the first half of the draw will be in the morning session(afternoon in Beijing) , and those in the second half of the draw, in the evening.
