BUT... anyone knows if they broadcast selby somewhere? sure, the chinese livestream, but all it does is buffering for ages and THEN telling me: ready. and then NOTHING. I'm frustrated. I want to see the match...

This is so annoying... but hopefully TVU works for the semis and the final, there seems to be no online coverage on ES according to their schedule

lol. It's a tactical exchange. I'm watching both matches

Meanwhile, Marco missed a cannon into a red to bring it into play off the top right cushion. He's up 69-30 but plays a safety with the white at the black end of the table but slightly higher off the cushion than intended. Selby misses the pot and double kisses the red leaving the red virtually in the same position with the white ball in a similar position as it was, only a lot higher.

EDIT2: Marco gets a long red in and now all reds are gone. He's in prime position now on the green but loses position on the brown but he's done enough to win the frame.

Sure, I'll be happy to report back. Come on Fu! I also noticed that you've got him for your Lucky Dip . I ended up with Murphy and I was expecting him to progress at least to the Quaters but meh .

And Marco gets a long red in - first of the frame and on the black with the added advantage of being able to pot the black in both corners! Marco uses a rest now from mid length of the table. He gets it in but pushes the black safe. Marco can only play a safety now.

White ball back at baulk but he's left a red on, which Selby fails to capitalize on. The white is almost tight on cushion and Marco appears to have no pot except the red Selby missed which is too risky to take on. Instead Marco plays safe but hits a baulk ball leaving the red on that Selby missed earlier. Selby pots and is amongst the pack and the black. Will he split the reds now - no. He thought he could get on the top red of the bunch into the middle right but is blocked by another red so he plays safe. White is now tight on baulk cushion. A bad safety leads Selby to pot a red but fails to capitalize again after scoring a few points when he misses a blue.

Marco back on with pink on to the middle left but elects to pot the blue into right middle. He gets it in but needs a rest with the right to the bottom right. Unfortunate miss from him as he wrly smiles. He leaves Selby a red to the middle left but again Selby misses. He plays that with way too much pace. With no shot on, Marco plays safe - the white ball is on the left bottom cushion and there does appear to be a thin cut on the red on the top of the cushion but Selby dismisses the idea. He plays safe but leaves that red on. Marco tries the cut and misses. Selby back on.

Marco just snookered Selby on a green that is towards the right cushion. Selby fouls as he gets no where near the pack of 3 reds. He fails at a second attempt but is closer. Selby fouls for the third attempt but this time on the black. 4th time lucky and Marco is back in with the white ball touching on the red. Marco gets the cue ball back to baulk but Selby finds a plant! He gets it in. Selby in now and he's got a good chance. The only obstacles appears to be the only red tight on the bottom right cushion and the brown which is tight on middle baulk cusion

Saying that, Selby misses the red with the rest. Marco has a chance. He gets it in from mid-length and now that's straight cueing. Marco pots the black and is in position for the yellow. Problem now is, how does he get from green to brown? The cueball is close to the middle and the brown is on but it's so tough! He had failed to bring it into play.
Selby is back on after a missed attempt on the brown and now has Fu snookered. The Cueball is behind the pink with brown back at baulk. A good one-cushion escape brings brown and white in a safe position but he could be snookered by Selby again behind the black. But Selby attempts a pot and misses.

And Marco snookers Selby, unintended from his missed pot. Selby gets out of it.

I started another thread on Quarter-finals. Davis has just made a teriffic snooker - the white ball between the black and the cushion And the Shanghai TV goes offline

^ Watch the Fu match on CCTV-5. Marco looks set to take frame 3 but pink is safe. He snookers Selby behind black. Selby need a snooker but Marco takes Frame.

3-1 to Marco at mid-session.

EDIT: I haven't been paying attention to the Davis match although I know Davis is up 2-1. Can anyone report back on their matchplay - how are both players on the table?

chinese stream is working again for me, after some swearing and whining it gave up the buffering and worked smoothly.
eventhough I didn't like what I saw, selby's dreadful today, what happened? Hope he recovers, want to see him trhough (who'd have thougt that...^^)

and for the other match, as much as I like steve davis, come on ricky!
