That missed black from Williams in the 6. th frame can end up being very costly.

Looks like Ronnie has this sorted out. 57 ahead with 3 reds open

Is it just me or are these chinese commentators a really really excitable lot ? I swear they screamed on that last shot by Ronnie which travelled some and missed breaking the remaining bunch of 3 reds by a whisker :snooker:

Excellent match, great standard from both of them!
One frame out of 8 was scrappy and the smallest break was a 53. Three centuries, some wonderful, fluent, charming play from both of them!
Best match of the tournie so far but I can't be objective.

And a bit of shameless promotion: Ronnie, my mum's a stomatologist and I could get you a really good deal for a truckload of dental floss, buy one, get 50 for free. Or a rake. Anything but that extended drilling into the wisdom teeth that happened after the second frame.
              Ew.
              *facepalm*

              Great match.

lol..Chinese commentary is full of ooooh-s and wow-s and they're always so enthusiast.

Its been a great match, in fact all ROS-Williams matches ive seen so far were great matches. Shame one has to lose. Guess the only way a Ronnie defeat wouldnt sadden me is Williams winning it.
Well done to Mark for getting this far in the tournament, sure he improved his position in the rankings.

                  Go Ronnie! :snooker:

I see Mags is leading 4-3.

I agree. This was probably the best match of the season so far. Also remember the QF of WSC 2006 which was a cracker aswell. They both seem to raise their game when playing each other.

Too bad Ronnie has won most if not all of their last matches.

I would like to ask the mod(s) to move this thread to the Professional Tournaments section, if possible. Easier to follow this way.
                          Thanks.

I see Eurosport won't show the semi finals and the final live.

Cos of tennis? May it rain cats and dogs, may it pour and stop seconds after the final has finished.

It all should be on Shanghai Sports.
And btw, if someone will be able to record it, I'll be very grateful I'm definitely missing the matches tomorrow...
Ronnie-Maguire should be something to watch.
