Ronnie potted an easy red to left middle, wanted to get position on the blue off the cushion (possibly near jaw of left middle), kick took the pace out of the white and straightened it up, so white followed red into the pocket.

Yeah, thanks, now I remember it. Good memory, zombieman!
And there was another kick for Ronnie when he finished terribly on the black, a lot closer to the reds than desired and too short.
Can't remember any kicks for Walden, surely he had some?

Ronnie's safety game is pretty poor in this session so far, gifting way too many chances.

Ricky is playing less badly, but nothing to praise about his performance either in this session to be honest.

I do agree it is a sad way to lose a frame but replacing seems quite extreme. I dont that is the solution. In my opinion it doesn't require a solution at all. Players have the option of getting the ball cleaned to their satisfaction right ? I guess that is good enough.
