I'm watching it on Shanghai Sports on the TVU Networks site and there's hardly any buffering. It's miles better than watching it on CCTV5.

I guess 3 consecutive ranking tournament wins was a record that wasn't meant to be broken... No chance of that happening now.

9-7 up. Ricky seems to be holding it together. Doesn't look like he is gonna choke. Ronnie doesn't have a lot of room for error now.

Not unless something changes - but the ROS could rattle of 3 frames in 20 mins if it does !!

It has already been broken!! Hendry won 5 in a row in 1990!!

Can't believe this. How can a player like Walden win a ranking tournament?

Ronnie looked to have some more desire to win once Walden missed that red to the middle. Could there be another Rocket comeback?

walden is better than this - but if he keeps missing all these golden chances he wont win one !

That's part of the problem with modern snooker. Players win ranking events who sponsors and the public have never heard of. From a sponsoring point of view, you'd much rather have Ronnie/Maguire/Selby/Murphy in the Final of your event than Ricky Walden. If you look at tennis, the likes of Federer/Nadal always win most of the top events. You never get someone outside the top 20 winning. Sponsors know what they're going to get. In snooker, anyone can win an event. It's no good for sponsors if the most popular players are out on the first day of the event. Snooker was most prosperous financially/growing fastest when Hendry and Davis were dominating, with a few players behind them who beat them once in a while. Both finals this year have been mismatches on paper - that's not what sponsors want to see.

Its core fans though, such as the people on this forum, are quite happy to wish Walden success. But most people would rather see Selby-O'Sullivan today.

                                Walden 9 Ronnie 8

Walden up 61 to 11, looks like he has won.
