Not surprised at either actually. Cope is clearly a very good player and was close to beating Higgins at WC. Hamilton hasn't been on form for a while now.
Harold started last season well reaching a final, but could hardly win a match in the 2nd half of the season, whereas Higginson made a few final stages and is well placed to potentially get in the top 32 with a few good runs.

nothing has really changed in the last 20 years with standards..

Quite surprising to see Harold and Hamilton trailing in their matches as they are.

Having known Marcus since he was 12 I hope he holds on and wins as he has never really fulfilled his potential and one really good season could see him push for a top 32 place which would be some reward for his many years on the circuit.

people say standards are higher these days down the rankings with brilliant young players Marcus Campbell being a pro since 1991 and he is making so called better players look like nothing.

Let's not write off Judd in this match completlely yet...many a player has come back from 3-1 down but in saying that i was expecting a better start from him.
Hopefully he can and will..

as ive said before as yet ive not seen anything from him to justify his potential i was hoping he would kick off this season well with a victory over campbell someone he has to beat otherwise how is he going to win tournaments if campbell proving difficult ?

this is a important season for trump and players like campbell he should be putting away consistantly at this stage in his carear...
He still has time on his side.
For Cope, he is still young and I think he is an excellent player on form - but he is now of an age where he should be entering the prime stage of his career so he NEEDS this to be his breakthrough otherwise it may never come. Doing well so far today.
