I'm probably just being swayed by the fact that I saw Rod play some good stuff last week in the English Open and Pro Challenge events while I've not seen Fergal since March when he collapsed against Burnett. Plus the fact that Rod had a pretty good season last year while Fergal had a bit of a nightmare.

Not to say that Fergal can't turn it around of course.

I think both Rod and Fergal would prove to be equally tough..

I have the same opinion, also taking into account that Rod's confidence could be high after he won the decisive frame against Guodong.

Yes Ken has 2 qualifying matches to win to get to the first round proper and Id like to see him do it myself.

    Hi guys,

do you have any ideea which is the state of health for Ian McCulloch?

Tomorrow he will play against Simon Bedford for a ticket to final qualifying round against Hawkins, although Bedford whitewashed Song i think McCulloch could easily pass him if he is fit to play his game.

What about Ken's match, against Lawler, can he get to Shanghai?

    Thanks

Nice 5-2 victory for Gilbert this morning would be nice to see him qualify.

Experience proving crucial this morning then, only one player under 30 winning and that is David Gibert who has been around a good while.

yes you got the feeling it could have been 5-0 the other way

    Jimmy White 5-0 Bjorn Haneveer
    68(35)-38, 74(73)-44(44), 61(34)-53(52), 76(62)-40, 93(47)-24

every frame consisted of chances for hanever you feel Higginson or Harold wont have Trouble taking.

Jimmy took the match 5-0. Hanneveer didn't play too well and had a bit of bad run once in a while.
