I didn't hear him today so it's perhaps unfair to judge but I can't imagine that he would have been great, he's just not a snooker man. I like him as an MC unlike a lot of people but as a commentator...just seems unsuitable.sigpic

about 4 balls on the cushing and a initial red using the rest wanting to screw the ball a tad and Rob Walker said it was a great chance for Roe with balls in open play and when Roe missed the rest shot i thought had every chance of missing Rob Walker was amazed he missed it....

It's nothing personal but Rob Walker just doesn't cut the mustard as a commentator, he should stick to being an MC as that's what he's better at.
Still find it strange that they couldn't have found someone else, instead of thinking Walker would be a good choice.."Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."
