First of all he has to have an operation to have his appendix removed. While in hospital the nurses gave him ear plugs so he could get some sleep, to drown out the rantings of a rather eccentric patient in the next bed!
Now he's had to have an op on his shoulder. Basically he's worn it out playing snooker and they scraped some bone etc. so he had virtually no practice coming into this event.Janie Watkins

On Robertson, he has had a kind draw but obviously has done well to get this far. Hopefully this is as far as he gets though.Last edited by Alex0paul; 5 August 2009, 08:24 PM.TSF World Champion 2010

Ive been following Martin Gould and reccommended my friend Danny to him as he is due to join the PIOS next year. Martin is playing out of his skin and could well push the top 32.Always play snooker with a smile on your face...You never know when you'll pot your last ball.

Martin Gould played well to beat Peter Lines 5-0 but i think he will find it tougher against Gerard Greene today but still expect him to win quite comfortably.
I bumped into Gerard last week who happens to play at my local club, and he was telling me that he's generally happy with his game and expects to do well. Time will tell."Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."

this is a important season for trump and players like campbell he should be putting away consistantly at this stage in his carear...
He still has time on his side.
For Cope, he is still young and I think he is an excellent player on form - but he is now of an age where he should be entering the prime stage of his career so he NEEDS this to be his breakthrough otherwise it may never come. Doing well so far today.

as ive said before as yet ive not seen anything from him to justify his potential i was hoping he would kick off this season well with a victory over campbell someone he has to beat otherwise how is he going to win tournaments if campbell proving difficult ?

Let's not write off Judd in this match completlely yet...many a player has come back from 3-1 down but in saying that i was expecting a better start from him.
Hopefully he can and will.."Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."

people say standards are higher these days down the rankings with brilliant young players Marcus Campbell being a pro since 1991 and he is making so called better players look like nothing.
