Ronnie's was the standard "I'd like to thank the sponsors, our hotel and although he didn't win today, it's only a matter of time until Wenbo wins here".

Yes there was an interview straight after eurosport's dismissal. I think the long award ceremony just shows the importance of snooker in China. And I thought Ronnie could have been more gracious by letting the host takes his time to complete the award ceremony instead of rushing it by showing his impatient body language.

Great tournament and great final. If Liang didn't play that insane shot when he tried that thin cut on the Red when he burst the pack open then it may have been a different story. That shot from the Green that Ronnie played where he opened the pack off two cushions in the last frame won it for him and it probably was the best shot of the tournament, it was a superb shot. Very long award ceremony but good to see the interest of snooker in China, and also Sir Rodney got quite a few awards! Never knew he could knock in the odd century! Ronnie looked very bored at the end as well.

I really enjoyed that week, and bring on the Grand Prix! :snooker:

And considering there was still time left before the end of transmisson there was really no excuses on their part..

I would have liked to see the interviews but I think they switched to cycling. Any other sport and they would show the interviews.

Well, there wasn't much of the interviews, and they would've had to somehow translate what Wenbo was saying - obviously his interview was in Chinese. So in this instance I can sort of understand why they switched it off.

I think I'm the only one to predict Liang winning, so I guess that makes me the sucker of the day. Not too disappointed though, as I didn't really expect him to win, just seemed like an easy way to win a round.

It was a one-sided scoreline in the end, but I enjoyed it more than I've ever enjoyed a 10-5 match. Must have been all the classic frames and classic shots.

Liang Wenbo had a great tournament. He has improved tremendously in the tactical side of the game, and his provisional ranking is the result of that I suppose. Still took a couple of risky shots on today though. But I guess he might have got away with it if he wasn't playing Ronnie O'Sullivan.

What can I say about Ronnie O'Sullivan? I wrote him off when I saw the draw. He came through against two of his biggest bogey players, an in-form Ding, and the toughest possible opponent at this moment in time. He paced himself well, played his best snooker of the week against the players he needed to play well against. He also got that overseas monkey off his back now. I honestly thought there was a chance he might go insane at the closing ceremony, as that was not his cup of tea at all. But he's come through that as well. Well done sir.

This was a great tournament, one of the best "minor" ranking events in recent years, in my opinion. Luckily, the next one is not far away.

I agree it's exciting to see China's interest in the sport. In Ronnie's defence though, he always acts like that during interviews.

Ah, but he did pose for all pictures, he did smile for all cameras, he did say all the right words, and as for getting obviously bored... Well, that's Ronnie.

True. Alex would've head butted the guy long ago.

Well done, Ronnie! Not on his best game, but managed to find some patience and consistency somewhere. And just when no long ones were going in and when safeties missed the bottom line he goes and fires that wonderful 109.
And the split from the green in the final frame was, as was already said here, magnificent. One of the shots of the tournament, indeed.

Well done, Liang, for the final and for adding a bit of safety play to his game. And quite a good bit, too.

                                Am really pleased.
