Just my thoughts on the J.White/O.Alkojah game.
I thought Omar settled down quite quickly and played some good snooker, Jimmy had a close call there and if (in my opinion) the crowd noise had not put Omar off a couple of shots he could have been out.
I am glad that Jimmy is through and looking forward to this arvo's game but he will have to play very well - the way we like to see him play
I think that Omar can be quite proud of how he played being the first time on TV, etc. and hope to see him again on the TV circuit.
I know there is at least one TSF member from Syria - it would be nice that that was Omar himself
      cheers
      Up the TSF! :snooker:

Good stuff from Maguire today. I expected a close game, but Maguire was surprisingly strong and punished most of Hawkins' mistakes.

So Trump and White are underway. Interesting to see how this match unfolds. Could be very onesided, or if we're lucky and Jimmy's up to it...very entertaining.

Ding once again playing poorly in a Chinese event, losing 4-0 to Woollaston. Not sure why this happens to him. The Welsh Open wasn't that long ago, and he played brilliantly there...

So 4-3 now...who knows, could Jimmy still do it?!

Ah too bad, no final frame decider. Jimmy battled pretty hard in the end.

                        Good effort from Jimmy.

He needs to sharpen up his safety - he left Trump way too many long pots to go at, which you cannot do.

Still, he looks in good form for the World qualifiers.

Btw pretty annoying that after each match, the camera swings to the audience, instead of showing the handshake...I always like to see the handshake.

I dont ever remember him having a safety game its probably the reason hes never been world champ strange though any other player gets better at safety as they get older

                              2-4 down.

                              I make Ding favourite.
